Without question, Harrison’s Principles of Internal Medicine
features the highest profile board of editors among the competition
(both print and online). All are world-class investigator/clinicians.
Each editor meticulously edits every chapter and two editors read
overlapping chapters. The usual rotation of editors results in Dennis
Kasper (the infectious disease editor) as editor-in-chief for this
edition. An exception has been made to the retirement policy so that
Dr. Braunwald will stay on the project for one last edition. Dr.
Braunwald brings to the book tremendous creative energy, wide knowledge
